Join with hundreds of others and develop a people’s manifesto for Newcastle.
On Sunday 18th May hundreds of people will assemble in Newcastle’s Discovery Museum. There will be short films from local campaign groups, and keynote speakers. Most of the event will be in discussions where your voice will be heard, feeding into a people’s manifesto.
Doors open 11:30. Event starts at 12. Assembly finishes 2pm, followed by networking and more films.

Sincere apologies to all those who turned up for book group on Tuesday and found the venue closed. I have since found out this was due to the ill health of the owner. So on Tuesday 20th May, 6.30 to 8pm at 1b Bookshop, 1b Bolingbroke St, Newcastle Upon Tyne we will be discussing the chapter on A Green New Deal from "Act Now". The ideas in this chapter are the response to the great challenge of our age. Find out what is being put forward in the book and come along with your thoughts and ideas to share with the group.

Do you want to know about economics? Then come along to our book group at Alphabetti theatre, St James Bolvd, Newcastle NE1 4HP on Thursday 22nd May, 6.30 - 8pm. We will be discussing "Economics the Users Guide" by Ha-Joon Chang Chapter 2 "From Pin to Pin". Together we can learn how to question and refudiate current neo liberalism.

Join the Heaton Book Group on Tuesday 17th June at 1b Bookshop to discuss chapter 5 Public Utilities of "Act Now". Public Utilities sound boring, however the privitisation of these services - water, energy has caused major problems. Do they need renationalising - come and have your say on the subject.
