About this event
Life is unaffordable. Everything has been sold off and rented back to us for profit. Austerity politics have vandalised our public services. Successive governments have collapsed into continuity Thatcherism. Political instability has become the norm. Keir Starmer has crashed and burned, and Nigel Farage is spending the summer arguing with a man dressed as a bin. Is it any wonder that trust in politics is at an all-time low?
One thing is clear - nobody is coming to save us. We have to save ourselves. We need better leaders at all levels of our movement – as organisers, administrators, spokespeople, candidates and politicians. This is where you come in………
Join our annual conference as we delve into this year’s theme of ‘leadership and hope’. Everyone is welcome. Expect short speeches, interactive workshops, great discussions and practical ways to improve your activism.
Featuring speeches and discussion from Sarah Kilpatrick (Deputy General Secretary of the NEU) and Jamie Driscoll (Majority National Coordinator and former North of Tyne Mayor). Be the change you want to see.

If you decide to cancel, your reservation can be passed to someone else. The non-member charge is not refundable. Events like this come at a cost and we are only covering some of them with the low admission charge. The remainder is paid for out of membership fees. We don't have big donors.
